Joseph W Patterson first decided to pursue a career as an attorney while earning a BA in Philosophy at the University of Utah. His goal was to work as a professional providing service to individuals and families. A graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, he began his legal career as a Judicial Clerk for a family law judge in Multnomah County. Upon completion of the clerkship, he began his private practice with the natural pairing of Consumer Bankruptcy and Family Law.

As a Family Law attorney, Joseph represents clients in all aspects of domestic relations, including divorce, custody, child support, and parenting time issues. As a Consumer Bankruptcy attorney, he focuses on helping families and individuals restructure their finances to become free from the burden of oppressive debt. And in both areas of law, Joseph is deeply sympathetic to the emotional pressure that is present with these difficult legal issues.

Accordingly, Joseph has built his practice with an emphasis on direct client contact, compassionate service, and knowledgeable legal representation. With each client he works with, it is Joseph's goal to ensure that the outcome will enable the client to move forward towards a brighter future.
